Rent A Coder
I outsourced a project to RentACoder and after four deadline extensions and three weeks late the coder finally came through! Here is a video blog post preview of the final product.

Yes, outsourcing is great but it can also be a hair-pulling expreince. The one key to avoid hassles is to have a clear objective and a kick ass project plan with detailed specs in hand before you put your project for bid.

Although I am happy with the completed work, I did find RAC to be a bit of a pain. I kept having issues in which they said I was “browsing too fast” and they banned my IP address twice. I posted about that annoying issue in this thread.

For my next outsourcing project (which is coming right up), I will be trying Odesk or eLance to see if I have a better experience then I had with RAC.

Internet Marketing ‘How To’ Guides and RAP

I purchased the Rapid Action Profit script (RAP) about 10 days ago thanks to a great discount Allen Says offered via the Warrior forum.

I’ll be using it to power my soon to launch website for my Internet Marketing ‘How To’ Guides.

I was set to use ClickBank with easyClickMate but RAP seems a better fit since my guides will in the $10-15 range. I’m hoping 100% commissions and direct payment to paypal will bring in more affiliates to promote my Internet marketing guides vs. offering them through ClickBank. I’ll see how it goes. I like the idea of having access to all the ClickBank affiliates so I might switch to ClickBank if affiliate sales are slow with RAP.

IM Mastermind Group

I’m excited to be part of a new mastermind group started by Jit Uppal. It’s a great group of like-minded Internet marketers so it should be a lot of fun to brainstorm and work with this group of folks.

Willie Crawford’s Viral Rebrandable Giveaway

I participated in my very first giveaway site. A few weeks ago Willie Crawford sent an email where he detailed how to get going easily with a new product for his rebrandable giveaway. So I decided to go for it. My gift was a report on Building Your Online Credibility. I picked up a rebrandable software from a great WSO run by the IM Buzz guys for only $15 and I was off to the races.

I picked up close to 200 new subscribers to my list so I can see why folks love using giveaways to build their lists.

Lee McIntyre’s Super List Building System DVD Boxset

Lee McIntyre is one of my favorite Internet marketers. I’ve learned so much from him these past few months. So I was excited when Lee offered a contest where three lucky winners could win his new 8 DVD boxset on his Super List Building System which sells for $397.

I threw my hat in the ring and you guessed it–I won! I’m so excited to be able to learn list building from one of the best. I just checked UPS and my boxset should arrive today (02 Sept) which is perfect since I’m leaving for France on Thursday (04 Sept) so I’ll be watching and taking notes like crazy on my 10 hour flight to Paris.

I’m headed to France

As I mentioned above, I’m off to France! I’ll be heading on vacation from 4 September to the 15th of September. My wife and our friends are doing a biking vacation of the French countryside. We fly into Paris and then we’ll take a train to Avignon where we’ll spend 10 days biking the French countryside and enjoying the food and night life. I’ll have my trusted MacBook Pro with me but not sure how much work I’ll be doing during my trip.
