This is really about me version 2. My blog was hacked and my original about page was deleted. That’s the only permanent damage they did. But it did suck since that was the first thing I wrote when I started this blog. It was my mission statement. Oh, well–such is life in the net.

About Me
My name is Alan Petersen. I’ve been online since 1996. Around 1999, I Started making a little money here and there with eBay, domaining, and affiliate marketing. But, it wasn’t until 2005 that I got serious with affiliate marketing. I left my safe and rather cushy corporate America job in 2007 and I’ve been at this crazy business working from home since.
As the next step in my Internet marketing career I felt it was time to move from just doing affiliate marketing into product creation. My first product is an e-book called Niche Podcasting. I’ve sold around 100 copies so far. I’m now working on my next info product.
I still do affiliate marketing by setting up new affiliate websites in a various niches. I enjoy that part of the business.
About This Blog
Not another Internet marketing blog. Yep, sorry. I started blogging about my adventures in Internet marketing in part to keep a diary about my endeavors but also to help people. The Internet marketing field can be brutal and there are a lot of get rich quick without having to work type of sites and products out there. I was fed one day about it and just started a rant post that led me to create this blog. I first called it: “Stop The Internet Marketing Insanity” but decided to take a more positive approach so I re-branded the site with a new domain and mantra: Internet Marketing Nirvana.
I’m a straight-forward guy who won’t BS you to try and make a buck. I’ll tell you right now making a full time living online is hard work. Sure to make a few hundred a month is easy but to make a living out of it–that’s something different. It requires a lot of focus and determination.
I work more hours now than I did in my corporate America job but the difference is I really enjoy doing this. 
So this blog is part business and part personal. I’ll post product reviews on things that I actually use and find helpful. I’ll also post about random thoughts I might have-even it’s non IM related.
