The first sale came in at around 9:00 AM CST and I was so excited you would have thought I made a million bucks.  If you follow my blog you know that Niche Podcasting is my first ever product of my own.  As in written and created by yours truly.  After years as an affiliate marketer I figured it was time I created my own product!

As most of you probably know I’ve been working on my 20/20 challenge for a couple months now. My first product is almost done. I haven’t worked on it for over a week now which I’m bummed about but I’ve had a couple issues pop up here the past few weeks so life sometimes throws a monkey wrench in progress of the work I was doing.

But, I hope to have a pre-launch coming up in the next couple weeks! Worse case I’ll push it out to January 2008 at the latest.

Why podcasting?

Podcasting is a passion of mine. I started podcasting just about a year ago in late December of 2006. I started podcasting for fun about my home country but then I saw the business potential of it as an awesome source of tapping into new sources of traffic to your website. Plus it builds you online credibility in ways I never imagined.

If you recall in October I went to a conference in Panama and that was because of my podcast in a specific niche. So podcasting is something I truly believe all marketers should be doing regardless of your niche.

There are other podcasting products out there which I purchased but I felt they were all extremely high level and not that easy to follow especially for newbies.

So I sat down and wrote a 100+ page guide that will show you everything you need to know on how you can start podcasting. From recording, equipment, to producing content, getting your podcast into iTunes and other directories and a lot more.

I’m also recording videos that will walk you through the process. So the manual and video toolkit will get you podcasting in your niche easily and quickly.

I am writing this post today December 1, 2007.  It has now been 20 days since I started the Michael Green 20/20 Challenge.

Did I make it?  Did I make 20K in 2o days?  No.

Am I requesting a refund? No.  You might be wondering what?? Why not?

First keep in mind that I have also not worked on the plan every day straight for 20 days so
that’s my fault.

But after 2 years of affiliate marketing I’ve been wanting to develop my own product and now the
2020 challenge has helped me a lot towards this goal. Yes I knew what I should do in regards to
creating my own product but I never did.

Follow through and goal setting always did me in. Here is where Michael Green’s 20/20 Challenge
has been very helpful for me, with a daily plan to follow and the 20 day accountability hanging
over me.  And even though the 20 days are over, that accountability is still there!

So even though I won’t make 20K in 20 days, I don’t consider this a failure.

My website is done, my sales letter is ready, I’ve written my e-book and had it edited for
grammar/flow, I’m now tweaking my manuscript and shooting my video tutorials for my product, plus
done the other things needed per the manual (can’t give away too much info on the program).

For me it’s been a lot of help even though I didn’t make 20K in 20 days.

It behooves newbie product creators like myself not to get hung up on the 20K and 20 days. Yes, that’s the marketing angle Michael Green is using but I’ll be happy if I’m able to launch my first product, make some cash, but more importantly to me I now have a blueprint I can replicate over and over.

This is the most I’ve paid for a digital how-to product but so far I’m happy with the results and I have no plans in asking for a refund.

So bottom line, I persevering with my challenge.

If you recall from my previous post about Michael Green’s 20/20 Challenge, I had to put the 2020 challenge on ice due to my busy travel schedule.

Now I’m back at it! Even though I had to stop, I had read the manual and knew I still wanted to do the 2020 challenge. If the manual was junk I would have asked for a refund but it has great information so I was still excited to give it another go when my schedule got back to normal.

This week I’m finally ready to give another try and I’ve just completed day 3. Although I can’t get into the details of the manual, I’m using my own product for the challenge.

I have been able to find some great PLR products which I will be using as bonuses and for bolstering my own product so I’m very excited about that!

Stay tuned as keep moving forward with this challenge! It’s now almost 2:00 AM so I’m off to catch some zzzz’s.
