Email:    As I mentioned in this post, I held up Lynn Terry’s podcasting 101 webinar because I couldn’t hear the sound.  Nothing.  Nada.  Zilch.  I hated that feeling of screwing things up for the webinar as I was re-booting and messing around with my PC trying to hear again.  But nothing worked.  Thankfully Roy Montero was able to patch me in via telephone and all was well. I spent time trouble shooting everything that could go wrong… Made sure speakers were connected, on, and volume was up. Checked device manager to ensure all sound options/sound card is enabled. Checked on control panel to make sure nothing is on mute. Ran the MS help program and all steps were fine. And nothing no sound.  I was thinking of taking it to the Geek Squad at nearby Best Buy. As I mentioned in this post, I held up Lynn Terry’s podcasting 101 webinar because I couldn’t hear the sound.  Nothing.  Nada.  Zilch.  I hated that feeling of screwing things up for the webinar as I was re-booting and messing around with my PC trying to hear again.  But nothing worked.  Thankfully Roy Montero was able to patch me in via telephone and all was well.

    I cracked open the PC box and swapped out sound cards and ta-da…I can hear again!  I’ve never been happier to hear that Windows booting up sound when I re-started the computer.  :-)

    So this old PC should last me a little longer.  Maybe through the summer. :-)
