Last week I was reading Lynn Terry’s review of her new wireless Plantronics Headset (Audio 995) and I just got all giddy (yea I’m a geek) because I’m rough on my headsets and usually the first thing to go is the darn wire so I ordered my own wireless headset immediately.

A few days go it arrived in the mail and I was excited to check it out:

So after using for a couple days I have to say that I love my new wireless headset! Not only is the wireless feature awesome but more importantly the audio quality is excellent which isn’t surprising since Plantronics products are usually top notch.

I recorded a video of the headset in action. I started the video when I was in another room about 15 feet from where my laptop was and as you can see and hear in this video the sound quality was awesome even as I was walking while talking into the wireless headset:

I just love the MXL Mic Mate which allows me to easily connect my condenser mic to my computer via USB. Here is my video review of the MXL Mic Mate and you can see it in action.

A few days ago I received my latest gadget, the MXL Mic Mate. It’s a pocket sized device that easily connects a Condenser mic to any computer via USB!

I’ve shot two videos. The first is just unpacking the goodies brought by the FedEx man! Tomorrow I’ll post the second video will show the Mic Mate in action!

Below is a very exciting video from Google with a preview of their open source moblie phone platform called Android.  Google is offering a $10 bounty for the open source developers that come up with the best features for Android.  It will be exciting to see what they come up with!

The future of mobile phone technology is looking very bright.

I blogged awhile back about the Flip Video Camera I ordered via Amazon but I never posted examples of videos I shot with the Flip Video Camera so here are a couple examples.

By the way, the Flip Video Camera is fantastic. It is so small and handy yet it takes very nice videos. It’s so easy to shoot a video and transfer it the computer that I’m amazed every time I do it.

I like it so much that when I went to Costa Rica, I didn’t even use my Panasonic camcorder! All I used was the Flip Video Camera.

Without further delay here is the first video I shot within a minute of getting it out of it’s packaging (note the beard experiment is over and I’m now back with the clean shaved look)

My Flip Video arrived within two days, Amazon rocks!

I tore into it like it a little kid at Christmas but damn if that plastic packaging isn’t a pain to open!! I had to use my trusty knife.

But I finally freed it and I’ve been playing with it for about a day and it rocks so far.

I’m off to catch my flight to Tampa in about six hours so I’ll post some video clips later.

My Flip Video camera arrived today! Wow I am impressed with Amazon! Always a pleasure buying from their site. I received my flip video two days after my order so I will it have with me for my trip to Florida and Costa Rica this Saturday.

I’ve been testing the Flip Video camera and it’s pretty impressive. Works right out of the box (which was a pain to open). Record, flip the USB connector, plug it to your computer and you’re in business. I use a MacBook Pro laptop and I didn’t have any problems. It just as easy plugs into the T.V. with the RCA cables that come with the camera. I’ll be posting my test videos here shortly. Nice quality, small and compact. And only $117 for that, very nice indeed.

I just tracked my Flip Video camera over at UPS and it has arrived in the same state! At 10:01 PM to be exact. It should be in tomorrow’s delivery truck. I plan to use this camera to easily shoot videos for my affiliate marketing projects (websites, blogs, and podcasts). Instead of using my digital camcorder with DV tapes which I then need to transfer to my computer then work on editing and compressing the Video Flip camera seems like it will save some steps. I’m really excited I just ordered the Flip Video camera! This little gadget looks like a niffty little toy to shoot videos that are going to end up on one of my sites, blogs, podcasts, etc.

It’s tiny and seems easy to use. I went to my local Best Buy store where it was on sale for $15o but I could have sworn I saw it cheaper on Amazon so I went home and got on to Amazon.com and sure enough the price there was $118.

I need it for my trip to Florida and Costa Rica this weekend when I saw that Amazon guarantees delivery by Thursday May 31. Since my flight leaves on June 2nd I figured I would get in time and save some money. Plus it’s more of a principle thing since I’m not a big fan of Best Buy.

So I’m paying $11.97 for two-day shipping so my grand total was $129.96.

Compare that to the $150 + tax, I was looking at $160 buying it at a local Best Buy store. So I save over $30 with the 2-day shipping and I give my business to Amazon instead of Best Buy, an added bonus!

I’ll keep you posted on how this camera works out. It’s so small and practical, I look forward not having to bring my bulkier digital camcorder which uses miniDV tape which I have to download and covert onto my laptop than edit, burn, etc. This bad boy plugs right in to my computer! I plan to use it to shoot video blogs so you’ll see it in action here
