Google Cash Detective Problems

In case you don’t know about Google Cash Detective let me give you the 411 on it. It’s a software that is used to “spy” on AdWords campaigns so you can then “clone” (nicer way of saying steal) those PPC campaigns for yourself. As Chris describes it in his sales page:

” Spy on your fellow affiliates, borrow their successful PPC advertisements, keywords and bid prices. You benefit from their hard work! Let *them* do all the trial & error!
Clone successful marketing campaigns, and earn consistent affiliate commissions …

Track & monitor sneaky “super affiliates” using their own custom landing pages, instead of linking straight to an affiliate program. Google Cash Detective will report on their progress, allowing you to easily clone their entire landing page system …”

So basically Google Cash Detective helps you steal er- sorry, “clone” other people’s PPC campaigns. Wow what a great program. Website scrappers would be so proud.

This whole spy hype (GCD, AdSpyPro) seems shoddy to me. Yes, it is important to check out the competition and get ideas from successful ones but this whole thing about ripping off their ads is shady at best.

As Chris says himself: “You can systematically use my software to find, clone and profit from other people’s hard work.” Nice, turns folks into scavengers. No wonder people think we’re all crooks in Internet marketing.

Google Cash Detective launched in June with a $497 price tag plus if you wanted to use their “automator” you had to fork over another $97 per month. It was limited to only 500 people but of course now version 2 is underway for another 500!

The original software involved installing it on your server and running cron jobs to crawl. Well most people couldn’t even get it to work and many hosts like Host Monster and Host Gator didn’t even let their customers use Google Cash Detective because it was a drain on the shared servers so people couldn’t even use it.

Now with version 2 of Google Cash Detective Chris is now hosting it so folks don’t have to install it or worry about their host giving them the boot. But get this now that Google Cash Detective is a hosted service he’s going to charge you $500 per year plus $97 per month for the Google Cash Automator. I guess ripping off successful Internet and Affiliate marketers isn’t cheap.

Here is an interesting video about the Google Cash Detective problems on YouTube from Mike who is not a happy camper after forking over his cash for Google Cash Detective version 1 only to now find out he now has to pay $500 every year to use it.

Chris Carpenter used to have a very good reputation but now as Mike says on his video it’s going down the toilet.

There is word out now that other folks are working on products that will block or send back bogus data to Google Cash Detective so this product is worthless.

The unofficial Google Cash Detective forums is painful to read with all these folks having so much troubles to get Google Cash Detective to work right.

GCD support appears to be horrible and there are many seeking refunds but now they are not getting them so folks are resorting to charge-backs. What a mess. But I don’t feel bad for these folks who want short cuts to succeed in Internet marketing so instead of doing their own work they want to steal others keyword research, niche research, AdWords campaigns, and even steal their landing pages. No shame.

Stay way from Google Cash Detective. It’s expensive, it’s shoddy marketing, and it doesn’t even work right for many.
