Have Passion For Your Job – No Matter What It Is

    By Alan | October 1, 2007

I’m amazed by folks who have true passion for their job even if it’s a job most of us wouldn’t want to do. It’s a recent encounter I had with a pest exterminator that inspired this post.

I’ve had some pesky mice make their way inside my house and although my cat quickly kicked took care of the unwelcome guest the fact they got into my house gave me the heebie jeebies so I called a local pest control company called Abra Kadabra.

Mike came to my house and I was just blown away by his enthusiasm and love of his job. A couple times he even confessed to be a pest control freak and several time he told me to stop him if he was talking too much about pest control because he just loved his job.

He even seemed disappointed that our backyard deck is all enclosed so he couldn’t crawl under neath looking for rodents. Is that cool or what? How many of us would gladly crawl underneath of a strangers deck in the dirt trying to find out how mice are getting in the house.

His enthusiasm for his job just made me think the importance of doing a job you enjoy even if it is crawling underneath a deck looking for mice!
