    Internet Marketing Books

    By Alan | May 30, 2007

Education is very important for all aspects of life including Internet marketing. No one will ever know everything there is to know about Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, copywriting, web design, etc. Therefore it’s important to learn and continue to learn.

I prefer books than anything written by the Internet marketing guru crowd. You will learn more from a copywriter like John Caples who worked well before the Internet even existed. But you will learn more from his book, Tested Advertising Methods written in the 1930’s than any ebook or course online right now. Many of the strategies used by the Internet marketing gurus were created by copywriting pioneers like John Caples.

The larger headline, the long copy, all the tricks of the trade used by Internet marketers were used offline for years before the Internet was even created. Read the classics and you will learn a ton. And compare the price! John Caples masterpiece costs $10.85 on Amazon compared to the gurus repackaged, rehashed info they peddle online for $67, $77, $97, $197, and on up!

I always take time to read so I thought I would share my reading list with you. I found a great plugin from Rob Miller which lets me share the current book I’m reading, plus the last one I’ve read (with my review) and the next one on my list. I’ve just installed Rob’s plugin and it’s working pretty nice. You can see the current books I’m reading on the right hand side of this post in the first sidebar. It even includes a link to Amazon so you can buy the book if you want.
