I’m really excited I just ordered the Flip Video camera! This little gadget looks like a niffty little toy to shoot videos that are going to end up on one of my sites, blogs, podcasts, etc.
It’s tiny and seems easy to use. I went to my local Best Buy store where it was on sale for $15o but I could have sworn I saw it cheaper on Amazon so I went home and got on to Amazon.com and sure enough the price there was $118.
I need it for my trip to Florida and Costa Rica this weekend when I saw that Amazon guarantees delivery by Thursday May 31. Since my flight leaves on June 2nd I figured I would get in time and save some money. Plus it’s more of a principle thing since I’m not a big fan of Best Buy.
So I’m paying $11.97 for two-day shipping so my grand total was $129.96.

Compare that to the $150 + tax, I was looking at $160 buying it at a local Best Buy store. So I save over $30 with the 2-day shipping and I give my business to Amazon instead of Best Buy, an added bonus!
I’ll keep you posted on how this camera works out. It’s so small and practical, I look forward not having to bring my bulkier digital camcorder which uses miniDV tape which I have to download and covert onto my laptop than edit, burn, etc. This bad boy plugs right in to my computer! I plan to use it to shoot video blogs so you’ll see it in action here
