Plug-In Profit Site – How Not To Do Affiliate Marketing

June 26, 2007

Plug-In Profit Site is a cookie cutter “website” template that comes loaded with predetermined affiliate programs. There are thousands of these created by Internet marketing newbies who think that by all of them putting up the same website with the same content in the already hyper competitive “work at home”niche is the way to go.

A lot of the folks over at the Conquer Your Niche forums are PIPS (people who have these Plug-In Profits Sites) and although the course at least does show them fundamentals of affiliate and Internet marketing, it will be hard to see how they will make real money (enough to do this full time) when they all have the same exact cookie cutter websites with the same exact content.

having thousands and thousands of the same website out their is going to hurt you in the long run. Google and the other SE’s despise duplicate content sites, especially for marketing/sales. Google has it written in it’s algorithm to flush them out.

I took the first few words of one PIP site and put it in google and I see a lot of websites all using the same content and template. That is not good especially for long-term business goals.

And it goes on and on…

Plug-In Profit Site and Duplicate Content

If you click on those links they’re all the same exact cookie cutter website template that must come default with PIPS and they all have just about the same content. Some PIPSters tweak the content a bit but not much.

You can’t have success as affiliate marketer if you’re promoting programs you don’t know or even use. These folks sign up for this program and in minutes they join the rest of the herd promoting the same exact website and you have to pay!

They’re even overcharged on domains at $15 when you can get them for $8.95 and even lower over at Go Daddy.

They all pay around $30 per month plus many get talked into “upgrades” where they pay even more money so there spending hundreds of dollars which if they could have spent to get a good “how to” ebook on affiliate marketing and for PPC ads to get going instead of wasting time with PIPS.

It’s amazing how these PIPS have been conditioned to stick to it, which is true, Internet marketing IS NOT a get-rich quick thing but they stick to it paying $30 per month or more and in the end they won’t make enough money to work from home full time with their cookie cutter template.

The ones who are cleaning up are the PIPS founders!
